The April 8, 2008 meeting will be in Gould Auditorium on the second floor of St. Joseph Community Center, 20th and Broadway, Lorain. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. A computer is set up in the auditorium lobby for a Q & A session from 5:30 - 6:30. A short meeting begins at 6:45 followed by the program. The program ends no later than 9:00 p.m.

Many members have expressed concerns about what to do if their current TV will no longer work after the transition from analog to digital format. Tonight, Dave will tell you in plain English what to look for when purchasing an HDTV, especially if you know that your current TV won't take the new signal . Getting your first HDTV is a huge step and you don't want to be stuck with something you don't like for years to come. Dave will give you the information you need so a clerk won't be able to talk you into something you don't want.

Bring your questions! Dave will discuss the pros and cons of cable, satellite, and broadcast TV as well as the new varieties of TV sets.
