Need Help?? If you are looking for an answer maybe a little quicker, then check out the Need Help?? column in the Interface LCCUG's monthly newsletter. Here you will find a list of various members willing to talk to you about various problems. Just check out the times available and the topics they are willing to help you with before making your call Problem Solving Workshop Another source of help is this workshop which is held at the Vermilion Family YMCA on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Here other members can bring in their computers to get help from Micky Knickman, Neil Higgins or other LCCUG helpers with installing various components, diagnosing and repairing problems, installing programs, etc. Almost as important, you can watch and learn as repairs are being made, so that you can do some of these things yourself the next time you run into a problem. Live One-on-One Help If you come between 5:30 and 6:30 before our meetings at Gould Auditorium, we have a computer set up in the hallway with various members willing to help you with your specific problems. Even if you don’t have a problem, many members pick up information just by watching other members’ problems being solved. Monthly Presentations Unlike most other computer clubs, LCCUG provides 2 meetings each month at Gould Auditorium at the St Joseph Community Center in Lorain. These are always held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month. These presentations cover a variety of topics including program and product demonstrations by outside vendors or knowledgeable members, a working demonstration such as on hard drives , or a variety of topics of interest to computer users. record most presentations. Though we have missed some of the programs since we started, we have the following
DVDs available: Plus, members get all of the following benefits:
