Problem Solving Workshop -  Tuesday, May 19, 5:30 - 8pm

This workshop is usually held the 3rd Tuesday of the month, at the Amherst Church of the Nazarene, 210 Cooper Foster Pkwy. Photos   

From 5:30 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 15, Micky Knickman and Neil Higgins will be at the computer lab prepared to assist anyone. Learn how to repair or update your computer by changing hard drives, memory, CD Roms, etc. Members are encouraged to bring their computers anytime before 7:30 pm for assistance from Micky, Neil, or other knowledgeable members. Check with Micky first to see how much you should bring. You may not need to bring your entire system.

Since there isn't a schedule for this meeting, anyone who cannot be there at 5:30 is welcome to come at anytime before 7:00 pm. Though it is not called a Beginners workshop, beginners are welcome. This workshop does not follow a class format.

Each month, Lorain County Computer Users Group gives free workshops usually on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, from 3 - 5 pm, in the Computer Lab, Room 106. Other classes may also be scheduled. Map to St. Joe's

Beginners
Tuesday May 13,

The LCCC lab St. Joseph's Community Center will be open for those who have never tried using a computer. It's also for those who have had a little experience, but don't feel comfortable with their computers. Call 440-366-4507 to register. This is an overview. Those wishing more instruction should take the Computer 1 class also. Call 440-366-4507 to register for this Beginners class. Instructor: Cathy Benson

This is an introductory workshop. You won't come away knowing everything you need to know, but you will get a taste for the exciting things you can do with your computer.

Class size is limited to the number of computers and pre-registration is required. Call 440-366-4507 to sign up.

Word Processing
Tuesday, May 27
3 - 5pm
The fourth Tuesday workshops are for those who are more advanced. You will practice the basics of word processing: Create a document and learn how to change its appearance  by utilizing margins, font style and size, color, centering, etc. You'll also learn how to save and retrieve the document.
Computer 1 class is required. Instructor: Jean Griffith
This class is NOT for those who have never used a computer.

On the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, You are invited to come to the Lorain County Computer Users Group meeting. We meet in Gould Auditorium on the second floor of St. Joseph's Community Center. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. Also, a  computer is set up in the auditorium lobby for a Q & A session from 5:30 - 6:30 before the main program. A short business meeting starts at 6:45, followed by the program at 7:00 p.m. Each meeting consists of an interesting presentation that may be given by a representative of companies like Microsoft, Intel, Executive Software, and more, or by presenters knowledgeable in some facet of computing.

Valuable door prizes are often given away. You do not need to be a member to attend any of LCCUG's meetings, classes, or workshops, but we hope you'll find our group helpful and consider becoming a member.
